Around the (San Francisco) Office with Madeline Gore

Welcome to our Q&A series where you’ll get a glimpse into each of our associates' days “around the office!" Next up - Madeline Gore from the San Francisco office:

What’s your morning routine? Life motto: “First I drink the coffee, then I do the things.” I take the 8:20 ferry into San Francisco from my apartment in the East Bay. I usually swing by Starbucks on my way into the office, so you’ll find me sipping a venti and replying to emails by 8:45 ish.

What makes or breaks your day? Makes my day: Playing with our office dogs. And seeing one of my pitches picked up by a major media outlet. Breaks my day: We have donuts delivered to the office every Friday. It really kills my vibe if someone else takes the last pink frosted donut before I get to the kitchen.

When you leave the office early you... Hit up a themed spin class at Wheelhouse (when I’m motivated). Hit up happy hour at Wine & Waffles (when I’m not motivated).

Your desk essential? Dual monitors changed my life! I also have a couple of photos of my family and closest friends. It helps me feel more grounded on hectic days to look up and see familiar faces.

Favorite place to grab lunch? It’s a close tie between Café Madeleine and Sushirrito.

What do you wish someone had told you day one? Being the youngest team member in the office does not make you a liability – it makes you an important asset.

What do you love most about the office? I love that our office is surrounded by action. You can walk 5-10 minutes in any direction and check out something fun – Coit Tower, Levi Plaza, FiDi, the piers, and the wharf… Our office itself is very California cool and casual. Also, it doesn’t snow here. So there’s that.
