How would you describe your morning routine?
I get up around 5 AM to go to the gym, and get to the office by 8:30 AM to get a head start on my day. I start out my morning by writing a to-do list for the day and planning out my time before grabbing coffee, responding to emails, and reading the news. Once my coffee kicks in, I get moving on whatever needs to be done.
What is your staple work outfit?
Pants, a button down shirt, and usually running shoes until I realize around noon that I forgot to change out of them.
What kind of projects are you working on right now?
Right now, I'm wrapping up a deck making the case for why highly creative work is also highly effective advertising. Over the past couple of days, I have also been helping to prepare a discussion guide for an interview with 50 Cent for Effen Vodka.
Where do you go for lunch?
I usually bring my lunch to work and either eat at my desk or with the other associate in Chicago, Jordan. When I do buy my lunch, I go to my favorite place in Chicago: Protein Bar.
How do you break up your work day?
Once I get working in the morning, I typically stay focused until around 12:30 - 1 PM. If I'm not too busy, I try to unplug from my work for a little bit while I eat lunch. I also like to schedule my meetings in the afternoon to break up my time after lunch, if possible.
What is your favorite spot in the office?
The (free) massage room.
How do you wind down after a long day at work?
I cook dinner and watch Netflix.
When you're not in the office, what do you like to do around Chicago?
I love checking out new restaurants in Chicago and exploring new parts of the city with friends. When the weather is nice, I particularly enjoy hanging out at rooftop bars around the city.
