How would you describe your morning routine? What do you typically do?
It all starts with “Africa” by Toto on repeat (AKA 4-6 snoozes of my favorite alarm tone). Then a quick walk with my dog and an even longer walk to work.
Commuting in a big city, what is it like and what tips do you have about it?
For a long commute, be productive. Discover new music, listen to audiobooks, do some mindful meditation, just don’t waste your time… it’s the pregame for work!
What is your go-to work outfit?
Waterproof shoes are a must. I learned what happens when you combine San Francisco rain and suede shoes the hard way.
What is something you always have at your desk?
A globe, multiple chargers, elbow pad, gripper, fidget spinner, football, oak coasters, cold brew
What is your favorite spot in the office?
The back bar
When you know it is going to be a challenging day at the office, what helps keep you motivated?
No one ever succeeded without a challenge!
What kind of projects have you worked on so far in this current rotation?
I’ve served as a community manager for several clients, using back-end analytics to help inform and create strategy for several social media campaigns, and also creating monthly conversation calendars as a copywriter.
Lunch break! What do you do for lunch?
I make it ahead of time. Invest in a crockpot, it changes the game.
What do you wish someone had told you day one?
Bring a blanket…the office is always freezing.
How do you break up your work day?
A walk to Levi’s Plaza or working in an available conference room when my desk gets stale.
If you had to pick, what has been your favorite thing about working at Ogilvy?
The desire to set me up for success. Everyone treats each other as a valuable teammate. No one wins if the unit isn’t the best it could be.
Are you involved in any professional networks? If so, which ones and what do you like about it?
I’m very interested in YPN. There are few professional networks out here on the West Coast, but I’ve been talking with some people and have a feeling that will change very soon.
Sunny San Fransisco – what is a cool local spot/restaurant/shop around the office you have found that you love?
Monroe’s is a great Friday night happy hour spot, especially when it's Battle of the Decades, or when every hour is a new decade of music/drink special. I stay through the 90’s and reminisce with the rest of the millennials who attend.
How do you wind down after a long day at work?
I go to the gym and listen to loud music, I ride the bus back home and listen to soft music and when I get home I pick up my sax and play my own music.
When you are not in the office, what do you like to do around SF?
Parks and recreation
If you get to leave the office early…
Call up the boys, grab a frisbee and let’s get to a park for sunset.
An Ogilvy secret revealed…
The SF office is the coolest place to be a Titan.
