What college do you attend and what are you studying?
Hobart and William Smith Colleges- Political Science
Team you’re working on here at Ogilvy?
Account Management for Commonhealth. Ogilvy Commonhealth works with pharma companies specifically- ranging from basic healthcare products to lifesaving cancer treatments. My work is centered on competitive audits and subsequent presentations for my manager. I work across a couple of accounts, so the work is varied which makes each presentation a little different. Other than that, reviewing SOWs (Scope of Works), client calls, and client presentations take up the bulk of my time.
How would you describe your morning routine?
Since I commute from New Jersey, I’m up at 5:30 and get to work around 8:15. Once I’m at Ogilvy, I need to consume two vitamin waters (orange and pink), a bacon egg and cheese, and two cups of coffee before I’m set for the day and ready for work.
What’s your staple work outfit?
Windowpane suit, but no tie- I’m going for the Don Draper look.
Where do you go for lunch?
I get a big sandwich from the cafeteria- (2-3 meats, lettuce, onions, jalapenos, oil & vinegar or mayo).
What’s your favorite spot in the office?
The entrance is easily my favorite part of the office. It’s incredible to walk inside every day and see Ogilvy painted across the entirety of the wall.
How did you hear about Ogilvy and this internship?
I heard about Ogilvy from a friend from school who works here now.
What do you think is special about this Ogilvy internship?
I love the versatility of the internship. I’ve worked with the biggest pharma companies out there, but also got to work on SHOWTIME (and win the intern competition- shout out to Team D).
What do you wish you knew about Ogilvy before you started your internship here?
I wish I had known how many resources would be available to help interns succeed. For example, for the big intern project, the Showtime pitch, the head creative of Commonhealth heard about my team’s project, and offered to help design one of our props. His generosity with time and willingness to help was incredible.
What are you looking forward to in your senior year of college?
I’m looking forward to being with the boys and making my last year the most eventful senior year it can be.
