What college do you attend and what are you studying?
Widener University, Management with a concentration in Marketing, and an Anthropology minor.
Team you’re working on here at Ogilvy:
I work on the account management team for Chemours and DuPont, which are both chemical companies. Chemours does performance chemicals. For example, Teflon, famously known for their non-stick feature applied to cookware, Teflon is also used to coat clothes to make them water resistant! DuPont does agro-chemicals, all the chemicals that would be used for farming. During my time here, some things I have worked on are copy editing article posts for DuPont’s social content and putting together the Chemours 2018 Planning calendar.
How would you describe your morning routine?
Start off with some Eggo waffles with honey, then on my commute I listen to my favorite uplifting tunes to get me pumped and excited for the work day.
What’s your staple work outfit?
A printed comfy top with cropped pants!
Where do you go for lunch?
Gotham Market has some stellar options, and I love to eat on the rooftop!
What’s your favorite spot in the office?
7th floor lounge area.
When you’re not in the office, what do you like to do around NYC?
Any spot with friends. The parks are great to relax and hangout.
How did you hear about Ogilvy & this internship?
I know a few people who work here and, they recommended the internship as a good fit for my major and interests.
What do you think is special about this Ogilvy internship?
The experiences, the people, the culture. One of the most special things about Ogilvy is the people. The people here invite me to learn more about everything. Everyone here is extremely helpful and always manages to squeeze in a little extra time to lend a helping hand in a project or to give some advice. The culture here is one that likes to learn and engage, and I like that a lot.
What do you wish you knew about Ogilvy before you started your internship here?
Initially I wish I had known what my day to day would look like, and what types of activities I would be doing. However, being at Ogilvy has been a transformative experience thus far, and I don’t think any prior knowledge would have prepared me for what I’ve learned and gained up to this point.
What are you looking forward to in your senior year of college?
I’m actually finishing up this fall so I’m excited to be done really soon. At the same time, I want to make the most out of my last semester as a college student. To me that means getting out there and taking advantage of my university’s offerings and activities! This fall I will be a student mentor to honor students and international students, and having gained 3 + years of experience, I’m excited to help guide these freshmen into their first year in college!
