What college do you attend and what are you studying?
I am a marketing major at Radford University
Team you’re working on here at Ogilvy?
This summer, I interned on the Dialogue Strategy team and worked across some of my favorite brands, including American Express, Starbucks, Gerber, and Comcast. I had the opportunity to dig deep into research and develop decks that helped my team to better understand the different industries that these brands are comprised of.
How would you describe your morning routine?
I usually start off with some positive affirmations while listening to Beyoncé. After I’ve replayed Single Ladies at least ten times, I shower, read a chapter out of one of the hundred self-help books that I have, and then put on a fierce outfit to seize the day!
What’s your staple work outfit?
Black heels, a leather jacket, dark blue jeans, and a cute frilly top.
Where do you go for lunch?
Anywhere that sells Italian!
What’s your favorite spot in the office?
The roof is definitely my go-to spot.
When you’re not in the office, what do you like to do around NYC?
I absolutely love attending poetry slams and hearing other people’s stories through spoken word.
How did you hear about Ogilvy and this internship?
Through my internship program MAIP (Multicultural Advertising Internship Program).
What do you think is special about this Ogilvy internship?
Ever since my first day at orientation, I have felt so welcomed and appreciated. The people here really care about the interns and go out of their way to make sure that we thrive!
What do you wish you knew about Ogilvy before you started your internship here?
That the café makes the best doughnuts ever.
What are you looking forward to in your senior year of college?
I’m looking forward to getting back to campus and sharing my experience this summer with my professors and fellow peers. I frequently speak at university conferences in the hopes of motivating the students at my school to chase their dreams and to never take “no” as an answer!
