What college do you attend and what are you studying?
University of Miami. I’m studying Business Management and Strategic Communications.
Team you’re working on here at Ogilvy?
Account Management, Barclays IB. I assist with day-to-day activities. I try to make the lives of everyone around me as easy as possible.
How would you describe your morning routine?
I wake up, and immediately set an alarm for 10 minutes later. I rush though a normal person’s routine with the goal of hopefully making my morning train from Scarsdale to Grand Central. From there, I try to remember what time the shuttle buses from Grand Central leave, fail to do so, and then power walk to the office.
What’s your staple work outfit?
I really love sneakers, and I really hate dress shoes. I also hate ties. I usually wear nice jeans or khakis and a polo or t-shirt. On occasion, I dress up my look with a blazer (but still sneakers).
Where do you go for lunch?
I tell myself I like to switch it up but I always end up going back to Gotham Market for tacos.
What’s your favorite spot in the office?
100% the roof because it’s a good place for me to focus.
When you’re not in the office, what do you like to do around NYC?
I commute from home, so unfortunately my time in the city limited. However, when I do spend time here I try to find a store I want to check out, and then wander around the area.
How did you hear about Ogilvy and this internship?
My mom told me stories about the company from her days working in advertising.
What do you think is special about this Ogilvy internship?
I think this internship does an incredible job setting you up to succeed. From the intern project, to the mentors we are assigned, I feel like I’ve received every chance possible to make an impact while I’m here.
What do you wish you knew about Ogilvy before you started your internship here?
I really wish I had known how willing people are to help! I’m often nervous about asking for help but everyone has been so quick to give me a hand.
What are you looking forward to in your senior year of college?
I’m looking forward to making the most of my time and experiencing everything there is to experience, I will continue to try to say “yes” to every invite I get. I want to get to the point where, when I graduate, I don’t want to look back and wish I was still in college.
