Current team you're working on? Engagement Strategy team for multiple clients

What is your favorite internship memory thus far? I recently was in a creative tissue session with creative directors, art directors and copywriters who presented their campaign ideas for one of our clients. It was my first meeting with the creative team and after hearing their original ideas, the passion in their voices and the creativity in their minds (and seeing how dope they all were), I knew that I needed to work in advertising. Since I worked on the strategy behind the campaign, it was fulfilling to see how my plan came to life. I just remember feeling incredibly inspired in that moment.

Why Ogilvy? For this summer, I knew I wanted to intern in an atmosphere that is filled with brilliant and innovative thinkers so that I could learn as much as I can about the industry and figure out which direction I want to go in post-graduation. This office is where some of the most creative, inspirational and monumental ad campaigns have been and are created, and I wanted to be part of that.

What do you think is special about this internship? I think it's really special how everyone is willing to teach you or guide you. The fact that we have Lunch & Learns every week ranging from brand planners, to creatives to the executive board proves that Ogilvy wants their interns to gain as much insight as they can during the program and meet as many people as possible. Plus, everyone is just so friendly and cool making it easy to not feel intimidated!

Go-to office outfit: I usually stick to black jeans, a white tee and casual sneakers. If you see me around the office, you’ll know I always wear a leather jacket with whatever outfit I’m in. I still want to look cool when it gets cold in here!

Guilty pleasure? An iced latte with almond milk from the nearby Gotham Market. It costs like $6, but that’s New York for you!

Proudest moment to date: When I entered college, I was planning on majoring in Economics since I figured it would look good on my résumé. But I realized that the classes I was taking weren’t interesting to me or fulfilling, and that I was actually passionate about digital design, media and business. Although it was a stressful process of switching majors, I’m proud of myself for studying what I truly love and not being afraid of taking a risk since now, I’m here at Ogilvy.

Favorite thing to do in NYC? Honestly, I love to just walk around without a plan. But since I attend school in Manhattan, I have so much time to explore the city so the best way to do so is by walking everywhere. Some of my best memories have been when I aimlessly strolled through these streets and stumbled upon a hidden coffee shop or an untouched (on Instagram, at least) art gallery. Also, I wouldn’t call myself a runner by any means but running in Central Park is definitely up there.
